Green Dragon is a stepped Standard unique to Wales that recognises effective environmental management. The Standard offers an environmental management system relevant to the specific needs of companies and organisations, and rewards actions taken to achieve environmental improvements.

In order to Achieve Green Dragon Leven 2, LBS has had to:

• Register and record all environmental legislation and other obligations that are applicable to the environmental aspects of its activities
• Plan, document and demonstrate actions and procedures put in place to ensure legal compliance
• Identify potential environmental consequences of emergency situations and establish procedures to avoid or control such situations.
• Ensure that all employees are aware of the company’s key environmental impacts and understand their roles and responsibilities within the environmental management system (EMS), whilst generally improving the company’s impact on the environment
• Ensure that adequate records are maintained to maintain the effective functioning of the EMS

LBS Builders Merchants have achieved Level 2 Certification. The practical benefits of reaching the standard can be summarised as:
