ON YOUR MARKS! - 04 July 2008
Two of our suppliers, Hunter Plastics and Marley, organised a Karting Tournament recently for the NBG Group, of which LBS is a member, for these companies to compete against each other and go head to head in a national final.
Heats were held throughout the UK, and LBS won their regional heat, which automatically qualified them to go through to the National Final at Daytona, in Milton Keynes.
Even though the LBS Boys, Jason Baxter from our Carmarthen Branch and Martin Dawson from Llandeilo Branch, were a man down, they came a very creditable 4th place out of the 13 teams. The final consisted of a 1½ hour energy sapping endurance race.
Hunter gave them each a framed photograph with their finishing date, time etc, as a memento of the day, and we hope they do not use their new honed skills on the fork lift trucks!
